In a recent motion by the Dutch regulatory entity, continuous efforts are being taken to deter non-accredited gaming providers who are focusing on the nation’s gambling patrons. The Netherlands law enforces a strict ban on the operation of online gambling without a legitimate license. This is a criterion that the Casbit Group NV, situated in Curaçao is determined to have violated. Brands Under Casbit Boomerang Bet, Betspino, and JustBit Casino are a few of the significant brands that are being supported by the offshore firm.
The mechanisms of the KSA first moved towards ensuring conformity through a penalty-dependent order issued against the Casbit side in response to this violation. Casbit seemed to initially limit access to the Lala Bet site for Dutch participants. However, substantiating the loophole, a subsequent KSA review exposed that access from the Netherlands was maintained. It resulted in the imposition of the penalty totaling about €280,000 per week, with the possibility of a surge to as high as €840,000.
The KSA opined that non-licensed gambling schemes pose a straight threat to the Dutch protective regulatory structure. By endangering player safety and the integrity of the country’s gambling market, the delinquent operations of firms like Casbit could be harmful. Already this month, KSA amalgamated with the global web security organization Cloudflare. This is to enhance the security setup and further restrict unlicensed online gambling operations.
